CLUSTER - A DRAMATIC SHORT FILM

Cluster - A dramatic short film about a man struggling with severe cluster headaches while trying to hunt down his loved ones killer.

From Wikipedia:  Cluster headache is a condition that involves, as its most prominent feature, an immense degree of pain that is almost always on only one side of the head. Some doctors and scientists have described the pain resulting from cluster headaches as the most intense pain a human can endure - worse than burns, broken bones or child birth.

An emerging CT artist and Simsbury native, Chris O'Herron creates portraits in charcoal or oil. The Illustration program at Syracuse University, from which Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2001, let him learn a variety of media, introduced him to the professional art world and whet his appetite for painting. Without doubt the most significant part of his education, in 2000 Chris took advantage of a wonderful opportunity studying and creating art in Florence, Italy.

Interested in broadening and exploring new subject matter, Chris is currently honing his craft using the CT landscape as well as its various man-made environments. Endless inspiration comes from the tobacco fields, people and semi-rural settings where he grew up.

In addition to producing hundreds of portraits of loved ones and pets for individuals and families, Chris has donated his time and art to help raise money and awareness for the Simsbury Main Street Partnership, the Junior League of Waterbury, Chip In For A Cure (a charity for Cancer research), "Shakespearience" (a non-profit educational group for kids), and "Art From Connecticut Forests" (an educational exhibit organized by the CT Department of Environmental Protection.)

Deserted Psychiatric Hospital - FAIRFIELD HILLS HOSPITAL

From Wikipedia:

Fairfield State Hospital was a psychiatric hospital in Newtown, Connecticut, which operated from 1931 until 1995. At its peak, the hospital housed over 4,000 patients.

The hospital contained 16 buildings on 100 acres, plus another 670 acres of land around them.

During its operation, treatments at Fairfield Hills included hydrotherapy, the use of the drugs metrazol and insulin in shock therapy, patient seclusion, electroconvulsive therapy, treatment of alcoholism, and frontal lobotomy.

A majority of the buildings were connected by a series of concrete tunnels. These tunnels were mostly used to move patients and equipment between the buildings, especially during the winter months and on bad weather days. Doctors, nurses, and other various workers also used the tunnels, and when required, even corpses were transported through them to the on-campus morgue.

This footage was shot in Collinsville, CT.  It features the old Collins Axe factory, located in CT.
